Welling United are delighted to confirm the arrival of forward Christie Pattisson on a deal until the end of the season.

The 25-year old had previously spent time at Park View Road during the 2017/18 season and he now returns to the Wings to help boost the ranks in Warren Feeney’s front line.

Having come through the ranks at Brentford, the striker represented Phoenix Sports before being picked up by Welling in 2017 and finished the season with Carshalton Athletic.

He then earned a move to the National League with Braintree Town during the 2018/19 campaign before making a return to Carshalton where he impressed enough to secure a move to Maidstone United ahead of the 2021/22 season.

Pattisson became a key part of the Stones squad which won the Vanarama National League South title last season, making 38 league appearances to help his side return to the top of the non-League pyramid.

Having scored twice in 28 National League appearances for Maidstone this season, he became a free agent following his release earlier this month and now joins Feeney’s squad in time to be in contention for Tuesday evening’s clash with Braintree Town at Park View Road.

Speaking of his new addition, Feeney said: “He’s an experienced player with a bit of pace, he’s played at a higher level and he’ll be a good addition for us.

“He knows his role and gives us the bit of bite we need. With 16 games left of the season, he’s champing at the bit and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
