Welling United are delighted to confirm the return of forward Daniel Nkrumah on loan from Leyton Orient until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old enjoyed an impressive stint at Park View Road earlier in the season which saw his initial loan extended until the end of the season before Orient activated their recall clause in order to supplement the League Two club’s first-team attacking options.

Nkrumah made five appearances and contributed two assists in back-to-back victories against Tonbridge Angels over the festive period and netted his first senior goal in. The 3-2 defeat at Worthing.

After returning to Orient, he made appearances on the bench for the promotion pushers, but now returns to the Wings to boost Warren Feeney’s options in the final third for the remainder of the season.

Speaking after Nkrumah’s return had been confirmed, Feeney said: Dan is a big player for us. I’d like to thank Leyton Orient for what they’ve done for us.

“There was interest in him in January and he picked up a niggle, but he loved it here and the boys have kept in contact with him. When they were told he was coming back, their eyes lit up!

“We had a really good spell when he was here previously and that’s what we want to do again.”
