
Welling United 1-2 Slough Town
High flying Slough brought the Wings 3 game winning run to an end at PVR on Saturday.
Nathan Green blocked Dan Roberts shot early on. James shot wide from an awkward angle.
Dipo Akinyemi then shot wide after making space for the shot. However shortly after Slough took the lead Matthew Lench corner was flicked on several times before Dan Roberts was on hand to head it home from close range.
Dan Wilks then saved well from Harris before Welling levelled. James took a pot shot from 25 yards which Turner misjudged and found the net.
Slough upped the tempo into the 2nd half. Lench firing just over before George Wells had a shot pushed over by Dan Wilks.
The away side won the game with Fifteen minutes remaining. Harold Joseph Was caught flat footed and in his attempt to get back he handled the ball. Dan Roberts slotted home the penalty despite Wilks going the right way.
Antony Cook had a long range free kick saved by Turner but Slough held firm for the win. Welling have a quick turnaround as they travel to Hampton on Tuesday night.
