The Wings looking for their home comforts this weekend

With Monday’s FA Cup draw resulting in a home tie, The Wings now face the first of two Saturday home games in a row, starting tomorrow with the visit of East Thurrock United.

Welling come into the game on the back of a strong point against fellow play off chasing side Chelsmford City. It was a bruising encounter that resulted in Steve King’s men picking up a few injuries with Charles Banya & Anthony Acheampong both joining the injury list. But King has a strong squad in which to choose from and some of these players gained valuable game time on Tuesday night against Gillingham in the Kent Senior Cup.

East Thurrock find themselves in the bottom three in the table but up until defeat at home to St Albans last weekend they had been have a slight revival. Manager Steve King has stressed that this game will not be an easy ride for his Welling side and he has stressed that they must be at their very best if they want to come away with the three points.

Kick off at Park View Road on Saturday 3pm.
