League sponsors Vanarama have been busy assessing the season so far – and what’s to come!
Story so far
It’s been a mixed bag but there’s plenty of positives to take. Aside from the Bath City defeat, the Wings haven’t fallen far short – just a little luck needed at certain times.
From the manager’s office…
Mark Goldberg says he has seen the evidence and feels that Billericay’s last minute penalty on Tuesday night shouldn’t have been. “It’s outside the box and there’s no doubt that it’s a difficult blow to take” he said.
Biggest result so far…
The 1-0 victory over Maidstone United showed fans another year of upsetting the league’s fancied sides could be around the corner.
Aaron Cosgrave has impressed – especially after his winner against the Stones. It looks like he can fill Brendan Kiernan’s boots.
League position: 15th

It’s another Saturday home game, Oxford City are in town. They secured their first win of the season on Tuesday after edging out Hampton.
Their one to watch out for:
Tarik Azille netted two in that match, and is fast, powerful and is always a danger to the defence. Keep an eye out for him.
What can fans expect?
For the Wings to take the frustration of the last two games out in front of their fans. With home form so crucial last year, making Park View Road a fortress once again is top of the to-do list.
The last time:
Impressive Welling did the double over Oxford last year, a 1-0 win in February came after an entertaining 3-2 victory in Kent.
