Striker signs on

Mark Goldberg has today moved to bolster the attacking ranks with the signing of former Coggeshall Town striker Nnamdi Nwachuku,

Nwachuku (pictured, centre) came through youth ranks at both Reading and Colchester before embarking on a four-year spell with Coggeshall,  being part of the wide which won the 2018/19 Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League.

Nnamdi scored 101 goals in his first 100 appearances for the SeedGrowers including 44 in just 34 appearances during the 16/17 campaign.

On signing for The Wings, Nnamdi said:

“I am filled with excitement and can not wait to get started on this new chapter in my football career with Welling United, a club with so much potential, passion and a real hunger to achieve great things. I feel like the football club will provide me with the platform to go and express myself with the great players they have, players I have only heard great things about and seen clips that back up what great players they are. I can not wait to get into the side and push on.”

Nnamdi will be available for selection for this evening’s match at Slough.

Welcome to Welling, Nnamdi.
