Player news | Quinton adds four

Following squad departures earlier in the week Wings boss Bradley Quinton added four reinforcements ahead of Saturday’s match against league-leaders Wealdstone.

Both Diaz Wright and Cameron James joined from Colchester on one-month loan deals and put in accomplished displays in the centre of a new-look midfield.

Wright scored the winning penalty in Braintree’s Playoff Final shoot-out during a 2018 loan spell before playing for Dagenham in a loan spell which ended this month.

James has made 25 first team appearances for Colchester as well as loan spells at Chelmsford, Braintree and most recently Maidstone.

Also making their Wings debuts in the narrow defeat were defender Harold Joseph and forward Phil Roberts.

Joseph is a central defender who has played for St. Albans City at Vanarama National League South level as well as the likes of Royston Town, Enfield Town and Hendon.

Goalscorer Phil Roberts joins after most recently featuring for Romford Town but has a wealth of Vanarama National League South experience. Roberts links up with Quinton again after a successful spell at Braintree where he scored 17 goals in 30 appearances.
