Welling United have been delighted by the growing crowds at Park View Road this season and are hoping for a bumper attendance when Havant & Waterlooville visit on Saturday, September 24th with adult tickets discounted to just £10 when bought in advance.
Although the annual Non-League Day does not officially come until March, Welling will be celebrating it early to encourage as many supporters, young and old, to come an experience the Wings revolution in DA16.
The match falls on an international weekend, meaning supporters of Premier League, Championship and other EFL clubs can get their football fix by getting behind the Wings with all adult tickets reduced to just £10 if bought online.
September already sees the club celebrate Wings Women’s Month, with all adult female supporters able to gain discounted entry to league games at Park View Road for just £5.
As well as that, concession and U18 tickets have also been reduced to £5 for league fixtures in September and U11s will continue to gain free entry to games when accompanied by a paying adult.
Supporters are encouraged to snap up their tickets in advance to take advantage of the discounted adult ticket price, with prices set at £15 at the turnstiles on the day.
Wings Chairman, Paul Whitehead said: “We’ve been really pleased with how fans have responded to the changes around the club this season.
“Things are going really well on the pitch and the crowds have been going up every game which has been fantastic to see. We want people in the area, and beyond, to know that things are happening here at Welling United – it’s a fresh start, we have ambition and we want to take a new generation of supporters along with us for the ride.”
“We’ve been extremely close to 1,000 mark for attendances in recent weeks,” he added.
“We want to make it our target to do that for the Havant & Waterlooville game and I see no reason why we can’t aim for 1,500 if we can get the right support behind us.”
