Welling United return to league action as they host Weymouth at Park View Road on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
The Wings come into the game having steadied their form and are unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions (including the Kent Senior Cup). As such, Warren Feeney will be looking for his players to continue their good run against a side who are rooted to the bottom of the Vanarama National League South table.
Welling, however, will be more than aware of the dangers posed by the Terras, with Bobby Wilkinson’s men having dispatched of the Wings 3-0 in the FA Cup in September.
THE OPPOSITION
It’s proven to be a difficult season, so far, for Weymouth who find themselves at the foot of the table with just two wins, two draws and 12 defeats to their name this term.
The Terras have found some solace in cup competition, however, having beaten Welling on their way to the first round proper of the FA Cup where they forced League Two AFC Wimbledon to a replay before being knocked out.
With cup games keeping them occupied in recent weeks, their last league outing did provide one of their two victories this season, coming in the form of a 1-0 home success over Braintree Town on November 12th.

We’ll be showing them the utmost respect and we’ll be looking for a response from the last time they played us [in the FA Cup], because they really put it on us. We were not good enough on the day, but they were fantastic and we’ll be in for a tough game on Saturday, believe me.”

Stephen Parkinson will be the man in the middle on Saturday afternoon. He has taken charge of 11 league games this season, producing 30 yellow cards and one red.
Parkinson last refereed the Wings for the 5-0 win over Oxford City at Park View Road in September and he will be assisted by Rudin Preca and Joseph Dan-Pye.
