Welling United face their second game of three consecutive matches on the road when they head to Oxford City on Saturday.

The Wings go into the game unbeaten in their last three having secured a win and two draws in their last trio of outings, but can perhaps count themselves unlucky not have come away from those with the maximum nine points having conceded late levellers against Dartford and Cheshunt over the last week.

Warren Feeney will sweat on the fitness of a number of his key players with Medy Elito and Kodi Lyons-Foster missing the midweek draw at Cheshunt with knocks, while Jamie Sendles-White was forced to withdraw at half-time.

THE OPPOSITION
Oxford are currently enjoying a rich vein of form with just one defeat in their last 15 league games and come into the game off the back of three wins on the spin.

Tuesday evening saw them register a 3-1 victory at Hungerford Town – a win which sees them sit in fourth place in Vanarama National League South with 14 wins, 10 draws and seven defeats from their 31 games, so far.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wings enjoyed a spectacular day out against Oxford the last time the sides met back in September at Park View Road.

Ade Azeez helped himself to a first-half hat-trick, while Stefan Payne added a brace as Welling secured a 5-0 victory.

PRE-MATCH CHAT

Warren Feeney: “We’re still chasing that point to equal where we finished last year. This nitty-gritty part of the season is what the players enjoy.

“Oxford are a good side. We had a good result against them at home, so they’ll want a reaction from that game – we’ll go into it confident, we’ll have to see how the injuries are – it’ll be a tough game, but we’ll go into it, as we do every game, looking for a result.”
