King takes Welling hot seat
Welling United are delighted to announce that Steve King has taken the position of manager at the Club on a two-year contract.
King has a wealth of experience at non-league level listing Whitehawk, Macclesfield, Lewes and Farnborough amongst his former clubs.
Most recently King was at the helm at Whitehawk and almost pulled off a great escape with the side looking dead-and-buried. After a huge squad overhaul King inspired the Hawks to a great run of form which included a 2-1 victory over Welling back in April.
King’s CV also includes various play off campaigns and cup success, notably taking Macclesfield town to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup in 2013, for the first time in the club’s history.
Steve will be announcing his backroom team in due course.
Welcome to Welling, Steve.
