King makes first signings
New Welling boss Steve King has wasted no time in constructing his squad for his debut season at PVR.
First-up is goalkeeper Daniel Wilks. Wilks follows King from former club Whitehawk after joining the Hawks mid-season and going on to make 18 appearances. He has also turned out for Maldon & Tiptree, making over 50 appearances for The Jammers.
King has also snapped up Jordan Gibbons after a spell at Whitehawk. The defender recently returned from the USA where he played professionally for Phoenix Rising in the United Soccer League.
Also joining from the south coast is wideman Zack Newton who joins from Worthing. Newton also had a spell at Met Police in 2017/18.
Finally, it’s a familiar face for Welling fans with Craig Braham-Barrett returning to the Club for his third spell. The pacy left back joins from Vanarama National South side Chelmsford City.
All four have signed one-year deals at the club.
