Wings boss Warren Feeney insists that his side must be on their game to avoid a cup upset at Park View Road on Saturday as Fisher visit in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.

Welling’s opponents come to DA16 three steps below them in the non-League pyramid, but Feeney knows all too well that upsets will be dished out throughout the rounds, and he is determined not to be on the end of one.

“We can’t underestimate anyone we play,” he explained.

“I’ve been in these positions before, they’re difficult, difficult games – it’s a free hit for them, so we need to make sure we’re on our game.

“We treat teams with respect, no matter who we play, and Fisher come to us in the FA Cup knowing there are always upsets and we need to make sure that it’s not us.”

Meanwhile, the Wings’ boss suggested that he may not look to make too many changes to his side which has embarked on a run of three league victories on the spin in recent weeks.

“I’m not one of those who thinks it’s a good chance to rest players because that’s disrespectful,” said Feeney.

“It’s the FA Cup, no matter what level, it’s a great competition and I was lucky enough to be at a club [CardiffCity] when they got to the final of it.”
