It was one out and one win for the Wings last week with Dylan Gavin arriving on loan from Charlton Athletic, while Daniel Nkrumah returned to his parent club Leyton Orient and boss Warren Feeney was pleased to act swiftly to get the Addicks forward through the door.

Speaking after Gavin made his debut in Saturday’s defeat to Dulwich Hamlet, Feeney reflected on his latest recruit:

“I’m very pleased to get Dylan in with us,” he said.

“He’s one we’ve looked at for a while. He’s got energy and pace and I thought in the early part of the game we used him well, but then we didn’t give him enough service which is the disappointing thing, but I think he’ll be a very good signing for us.”

Meanwhile, Feeney also discussed the departure of Nkrumah who made a big impression during his stay at Park View Road:

“We obviously lost Dan who went back to Leyton Orient,” he added.

“That was a tough one for us, because he did so well and we were really pleased to have extended his loan until the end of the season, but that’s football.

“He’s obviously done something right because they wanted him back there and, hopefully, he can go on and progress because he’s a talented kid.”
