CUP DRAW | Wings to host Tonbridge in last eight

The quarter final draw of the Kent Senior Cup took place ahead of our Second Round trip to Herne Bay (22/02/2022), with both sides knowing the reward would be a home game against Tonbridge Angels.

Wings lead 1-0 at half time through Matty Hew but the hosts hit back in the second half with two headed goals from corners.

Bradley Stevenson saw a shot ricochet into the path of Bradley Pearce, who thundered home a last minute strike to take the tie to penalties.

Both teams scored the first four shots from 12 yards before Welling keeper, Sam Jackson made himself the hero saving Herne Bay’s final penalty leaving debutant, Sharn Quinn to convert the winner.

The Quarter Final game with Tonbridge Angels is due to be held at Park View Road, with the date and ticket news to be confirmed.
