Bromley 3-1 Welling United

Despite the result, Mark Goldberg and Hugo Langton would have been particular pleased with this valuable workout against National league neighbours Bromley.

Anthony Cook who impressed for Welling put The Wings ahead with a sublime lob over a stranded Cousins in the Bromley goal. Bromley levelled from the spot after Cheek was fouled in the box. Frankie Raymond dispatched the penalty as the game was level at the break.

The 2nd half was six minutes old when Joe Kizzi headed home a corner to put the home side ahead.

“Trialist D” then curled an effort past Wings sub keeper Beeney to extend their lead. Cosgrave burst through in the final minutes but hit the post as Bromley run out winners on the night, but Welling can take heart from this entertaining encounter.
