What have WUSA done for Welling United?
– We now have an elected member on the club’s board, giving the supporters a greater voice.
– WUSA have given money to and help administer the “Boost the Budget” scheme. This helped raise £8,000 that was given to Jamie Day’s playing budget and help bring in players to a squad which won the Blue Square Conference South in the 2012/2013 season.
– WUSA run social events for supporters such as quiz night, race nights, band nights, end of season evenings and met the manager evenings.
– WUSA last year ran 3 coaches to help supporters travel to away games. WUSA are planning to run more this season based on demand and WUSA members will receive a £5 discount on coach travel.
– WUSA recently completed a renovation of the club shop. This project was undertaken in pre-season and moved the club shop to a new site under the stand. The club shop for the last 2-3 season has been operated by WUSA allowing supporters to purchase a wide range of replica kits, scarves, hats, t-shirts etc. A 10% discount is given to WUSA members on clothing (excludes replica kits).
– WUSA plan and run a stall at the Danson Festival each year. This allows us to have a greater presence in the community and gives more people exposure to the club.
– WUSA help provide stock for and run a bottle bar which helps speed of service for supporters.
– WUSA has purchased shares in Welling United Football Club CIC.
– WUSA are now sponsor on WingsTV supporting key interviews and also will have edited season highlights and player videos including Goal of the Season competition video at the end of season presentation evening.
– WUSA run and man the club shop for the benefit of supporters and have substantially improved the quality and quantity of the merchandise.
Please so come and see us at the WUSA desk or club shop on any home match day and consider joining over 100 other Welling United fans as members. You can email WUSA via myself at email@example.com
