Straight from kick-off the Wings showed their dominance and created an early chance. Ellis Green's right wing cross found Danny Kedwell who headed over.
Even after a barrage of corners from the homeside the Wings failed to take the lead. Kedwell again went close when his fierce shot was tipped over by Richard Martin.
Welling's failure to take the lead was ultimately costly and the Magpies punished them on 16 minutes. Justin Keeler's corner was sliced into his own net by Des Boateng with Ellis Green unable to react fast enough to clear the danger.
The Wings should have equalised five minutes later. Jamie Day's interception found Kedwell in the box but the striker's shot was well saved by the Magpies keeper. Then just seconds after Kedwell's chance the Welling top-scorer crossed for Stadhart who headed over with an open goal in front of him.
Further Welling corners saw a Steve Perkins header blocked on the line before Mark Goodfellow's follow-up shot was also cleared from the same position. Perkins was again denied when his header hit the bar on 36 minutes.
Much to the despair of the home crowd Dorchester added to their lead on the stroke of halftime. Ryan Hill fired his free-kick into the back of the net leaving Wings keeper Jamie Turner no chance.
The second half was a similar affair with Welling creating the better of the opportunities. Boateng saw his header hit the post before Stadhart fired just wide.
Danny Kedwell was deprived of his 11th league goal of the season when the striker saw his low shot saved by the feet of Martin, as the frustration built and built.
Matt Bodkin then headed over, as it just wasn't going to be Welling's day. The home side did pull one back on 90 minutes when Gabriel Odunaike helped Stadhart's shot into the net.
Welling travel to Bishop's Stortford next Saturday but must first entertain Tooting & Mitcham in the London Senior Cup at Park View Road.

Extracts from the Interview:
"I thought we battered them, but if you don't take your chances you will always be putting the pressure on the lads at back. We created plenty of chances but I would be more worried standing here if we didn’t create them. We have to stick together and do the business. I was not happy with the way they scored from the free-kick or corner and we just have to start scoring goals. We just need a bit of luck as we are going through a sticky patch.
I have been reading the websites and I think the stick some of the boys have been getting is a disgrace. I want to keep all the pressure off the boys because we have a young team. No one means to miss a chance or make mistakes. We have lost 3 games on the spin but we have been doing exceptionally well in the league. We have to stick together which we will do. The fans have been fantastic but maybe its just one or two that think slagging off my players is great. At the end of the day we have to stick together because there is a long way to go."
